Greetings from the Golden State! Yes, I moved out to California amidst warnings from Stay More residents. And yes, I dearly miss the Ozarks where I grew up. Hell, I was so homesick last year that I bought a plane ticket back home, called up some old friends, and headed to the Richland Creek Wilderness(near Mt. Judea)as soon as possible. My girlfriend thought Iwas crazy, but herself being from Rogers, AR. she understood. Staying the weekend amongdense deciduous forest and beautiful waterfallswas a great relief but only temporary, which is why my girl and I are headin' back to Fayettville for the4th of July!Anyways, San Francisco is great! I am enjoying starting a wonderful artistic career. Did you know thatCalifornia is ranked#! in fine art revenue in all of the USA, and San Fran is #1 in art revenue in the state? There are so many eager young artists out here that it can sometimes be overwhelming. But I've already got my foot in the door with a great job as curator at Trillium Press,www.trilliumpress.com. We are anexciting printmaking and publishing companyand you can find a bio of me in the company scrapbookwebpage. I would love to hear any visitors comments!& So... about me. I am a 2003 graduate form the University of Arkansas with a BA emphasis in printmaking(like Mr. Harington) and was born in Springfield, Mo. just about 2 hours north of Fayetteville. Perhaps Stephen DeMoss and Don will remember me from the classes I took and shared with them.( I wrote that over-analyticalJim Dinepaper in the2003Criticism seminar, if that helps you guys remember) I decided to read all of Don's books after dearly missing his teachings after I graduated, and have read them all in cronological order starting at theCherry Pit. But I haven'tread With(What the hell am I waitin for!). Discovering donaldharington.com has made my day and I give mad props to the people holdin it down!(had to use some of that Cali slang) I can't wait to hear more from other avid fans! I've said a mouthful and it's time for me to hit the hay. Cheers! -Nick"We dream our lives, and live our sleep's extremes"
